For this project, the goal was to reveal the full personality and range of emotions of Zachary Hillaire, a young actor and model, through a series of black and white portraits. The real challenge was to design a shoot that would deviate from the usual portfolio: Create a strong visual identity by focusing on black and white, which requires perfect mastery of light, contrasts, and textures to capture the depth of the gaze and the intensity of the emotions. Explore Zachary's versatility by imagining several settings and costumes, each setting revealing a different facet of his personality as an actor and model. Find the balance between artistic direction and spontaneity, so that each image remains authentic and expressive, while meeting the technical requirements of a professional portfolio. This project allowed me to push my limits in terms of model direction, lighting management in varied conditions, and creating unique atmospheres to enhance visual storytelling.
